OUR JOURNEY

Cultivating Connections

We dreamed of more than a food company—an interconnected network where farmers, consumers, and the environment all prosper together.

This is how the story began at ENRAY.

2002
Organic farming field visit in India in early 2000s
Enray Inc. Founded

Founded Enray Inc. to source and deliver certified organic ingredients for the growing natural foods market. From the start, we prioritized long-term partnerships with farmers, enabling them to meet international standards while gaining access to wider markets and fair pricing.

2005
truRoots Brand Launch

truRoots began as our in-house brand to connect American households with authentic ancient grains, starting with quinoa from the Bolivian Altiplano. Over the following years, we grew truRoots into a nationally recognized name before selling it to a strategic partner in 2014.

Bolivian Partnership

Traveled to the Bolivian Altiplano to establish direct partnerships with quinoa farming families. This hands-on approach laid the groundwork for traceable supply chains, community engagement, and high-quality harvests that continue to define our approach today.

2014
Anaya Foods Born

While our involvement with truRoots ended, our deep connections to Bolivia remained strong. In 2014, after our acquisition, we founded Anaya Foods to continue this legacy with a renewed focus on partnership and preservation. Through our partnership with Comrural XXI S.r.l., we reinforced our dedication to preserve the time-honored tradition of growing quinoa in the Bolivian Altiplano region.

Cashew Expansion

Building on our foundation in grains, we expanded our supply focus to include organic cashews. Partnering with responsible processors and farming families in Vietnam, we deepened our commitment to traceability, fair relationships, and customer-driven quality across a growing global network.

2023
Macadamia Partnership

We expanded to Kenyan macadamia nuts in collaboration with Wondernut International EPZ, aligning with their 2,000 acres of responsibly managed farmland and annual production of 2.5 million pounds. With rigorous certifications and long-standing grower relationships, we connect high-quality kernels to clients across the U.S. and Europe.
